The Burma Collaboration has purchased a vehicle that has been adapted into a mobile clinic.
The Burmese population living in the rural communities outside of Mae Sot does not have access to a health service. Being illegal immigrants stops them from going to the city hospital because they are scared of being arrested at one of the police control posts along the road. Consequently, it is common for people with minor diseases to die due to the lack of medical attention and an appropriate treatment.
Through a Mobile Clinic and a Burmese medical team we bring medical attention to the cut off communities of Mae Sot. It is a project managed by the local organization SAW (Social Action Woman).
